The hotel “Lorena” is based in Aiuole very close to the town of Arcidosso which is 1000 meters above sea level at the slopes of the Amiata mountain. The restaurant of the hotel “Lorena” has more than 40 years of activity, during which it has everyday presented all the typical plates of the amiatine tradition, without any change in the time. Plates of the good traditional cooking, made with the ingredients of this territory, such as “tortelli” with ricotta (kind of cottage cheese) and spinach, mushroom soups, polenta made with chestnut flour, wild boar, “acquacotta” and many others. The closeness of this location to the production areas of excellent wines, such as Morellino, Montecucco and Brunello, allows us to offer to our guests a high level local wine. Our charming and comfortable restaurant has more than 120 places and it is suitable to banqueting and convivial dinners. .

On the back of our structure there is a big chestnut wood, property of our hotel, where you can walk and relax after a good lunch. Especially in the summer, when the hot of our towns becomes unbearable, the shadow of our chestnuts is real a value. In autumn we give our guests the possibility of picking up some of the famous “marroni” (chestnuts) of Amiata mountain and of tasting them in several receipts of our restaurant. .
