The hotel that awaits you: a small hotel 3 km from the town of Arcidosso, almost 1000 metres above sea level, at the slopes of Mount Amiata, on the path that gently climbs up to Prato della Contessa and Prato delle Macinaie, where the ski lifts start, and then up again towards the peak of 1738 metres a.s.l. In summer, the altitude provides a pleasant freshness, an oasis of clean, oxygenated air for those who live in the cities. The paths that run on all sides of the mountain offer to the visitors the opportunity of making excursions on foot or on horseback, climbing on mountain bike and practicing north walking. Not infrequently a walk in the woods leads to meet the usual frequenters of the mountain, such as deer, squirrels and wild boar; photographers have enchanted scenarios in the early morning or at sunset, and to seekers the mountain offers several edible species of mushrooms, including boletus edulis (Porcine). In winter cold strikes easier, but it is an healthy and dry cold typical on the mountain, the "stinging cheeks" that you can feel after walking in the blazing autumn woods, and that makes you feel like a warm fireplace and hot chocolate (both things available for our customers). Hotel Lorena is divided into two parts, a main body, which houses the restaurant and thirteen rooms, and an annex with separate entrance that welcomes the other rooms.
The hotel has 20 simple and cosy rooms; from the windows of many of them you can catch a glimpse on the wood of chestnut trees that surrounds the facility. All rooms are equipped with TV and private bathroom with shower. Soon available wireless connection to internet .
